Does business slow down during Chinese New Year (Singapore)

Hello there,
I am starting a own business in Singapore at the beginning of January. What about CNY at the end of January? The first 3 months are very important to succeed.
Does the business slow down for around two weeks as it does in China or does it more feel like a long weekend?
