Moving to Singapore

Hi all,
It seems as if I will be following my wife to Singapore with our two kids, 12 and 8. We are hoping to be there late July or early Aug. Since this will be a new adventure for us, we would appreciate any and all advice. (What to bring, what not to bring, what we can't live with out or what we are forbidden to bring.) Please don't assume I know anything!
We are looking at putting our children in to the Singapore school system, so any advice or help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Best area to look for housing? I enjoy working out and martial arts, so if anyone knows of any great gyms or schools, please let me know. Also, I have a nice road and a tri bike, are they worth bringing?
I know I will have a lot more questions, but I figured I would just start with these and introduce my self to the group.
