Relocating to Singapore - what to ship

Hi all

My wife and I will be relocating to Singapore at the end of January, with our two kids (6 years and 2 years old). Part of the move includes the company shipping our household goods. Having just spent 3 years in west-Africa, our thinking is to ship furniture and some personal items across, and to purchase appliances (e.g. fridge, microwave) and electronics (e.g. televisions) in Singapore. Mainly due to warranties. It will be great to hear from your experiences what are some of the "must have" items that one should be shipping from South Africa. Also, what items should we be considering that's relatively cheap in SA, compared to Singapore (alcohol and cars excluded).
