Reluctant spouse (Singapore)

Hi,

I work for a multi-national, and there is real potential for me to work at our office locations around the globe (one of which in Singapore) for extended periods of time (2 years +). My wife and I have been talking about experiencing life outside the borders of South-Africa for a while, but she is understandably afraid of the prospect and reluctant to consider it as a potential reality.

I'm sure many people have gone through this, and I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some insights into how they handled this problem, and and how it turned out if they eventually made the move with a reluctant partner.

I am not interested in forcing the subject with her in any way, but rather to hear how others handled this situation and what provided the breakthrough in the end (if anything).
