Sending Money from Singapore to Canada

Hi fellow InterNations Family members!

I am looking to gain some insight on sending money the best way (most cost-effective) from Singapore to Canada.

I have inquired to some local banks - the transfer fee is fairly pricey @ $30 each transfer.

I'm looking to do one transfer per month to my local account in Canada.

I have a Citibank account here in Singapore (unfortunately there is no citibank in Canada)

Does anyone have any other options? Is there another way?
Does anyone have experience with an online transfer? Paypall? Western Union?
