What is it like to live in Singapore

My French partner and I (Australian) are thinking about moving to Singapore next year with our 2 y/o and would like to know more about the lifestyle there. Mainly what is the average salary required to live comfortably and how hard is it to find work in banking as a French national, who speaks English fluently? Are there some handy websites for employment opportunities, apartments and general information for expats?
