Hi felllaz,

currently we are checking which neighborhood might be a good fit for a couple that likes both city atmosphere (restaurants in near proximity) but not too dense living conditions.

We googled the below marketing blabla and where wondering, if people who already live in SIN would agree. Actually this Holland District sounds like fun. What do you say?

Popular Areas
Location is one of the biggest factors when buying or renting a property. Certain districts are preferred by expatriates and Singaporians. Although Singapore has a 6-digit postal district numbering system, many Singaporeans still refer to these districts by their old numbers.
Districts 9,10 and 11 cover the Orchard, Holland and Bukit Timah areas and are located in the central region of Singapore, close to the main shopping and entertainment belt of Orchard Road, international schools, embassies, and private recreational clubs. Naturally, rental prices in these districts are correspondingly higher than in other parts of Singapore.
District 15/16 refers to the East Coast areas of Singapore. These suburban areas are equipped with all the necessary amenities, and are only a short Protected content drive to the city. Residents here also enjoy the added convenience of being close to the airport. Rental in these areas are lower and offer a better value.
Other popular residential districts include districts 5, 20, 21 and 27. Districts 5 and 21 cover the Westcoast of Singapore, and are located close to the 2 local universities, popular international schools (United World College, Dover Court, Tanglin Trust School). They are a stone's throw away from popular Holland Village, with its vast array of shops, cafes, restaurants, and European atmosphere.
Districts 27 Woodlands is located at the north of Singapore and is far from the city. Due to its proximity to the Singapore American School, the largest international school in Singapore, it is still a popular choice amongst expatriates.
