Newbie coming to Macedonia (Skopje)

Hi All, Just been offered a job in Macedonia (Tetovo) which starts next month and wanted some general advice/feedback.

Im in mid 40's from the Uk used to working away- (worked Mid East since Protected content . So the prospect of coming to a new country is not an issues.

Some questions I do have and if anyone could provide advice would be most welcome.

1- Is english widely spoken- I will do my best to learn local language but initially I would imagine this will be a challenge
2- My Job is in Tetovo and have been told can live there or in Skopje- What is Tetovo like? would there be enough to keep me busy when not working
3- What is social life like- Im a single male and would like to integrate and make friends
4- are the groups I can join such as cycling, sports etc,
5- Initially I will fly over but once settled i would like to have transport- I have a car in UK is it worth importing this or buying local?
6- what are average living costs (Rent/ food/ utilities/ transport etc)

Well guys thats enough for one day- Im looking forward to the new start and getting to know Macedonia
