Cheap way to transfer money to Bulgaria? (Sofia)

Hello All:

I am new to InterNations and the Forum!

I am moving from the USA to Bulgaria. I came to Bulgria late last year and opened two bank accounts to transact business for myself and my home property when I move in Protected content . My USA salary needs to be transferred to Bulgaria EACH MONTH so I am looking for an inexpensive / cheaper way to wire money into my Bulgaria bank accounts.

Right now my USA bank charges $40 USD each wire transfer and Western Union or Money Gram is even more! expensive!!

Does anyone know of a safe / guaranteed but less expensive way to transfer money to Bulgaria?

Any other insights for me would be most appreciated!

Also, there are many banks in Bulgaria to do business with and they all have different fees! Can someone reccommend a bank who has smaller account fees?
