Creative Writing Workshops (Sofia)

'Breaking Language Barriers' - Creative Writing Workshops

Writing can relax you, help you to express yourself and make you think about your surroundings. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been writing for years, or have only just started to think about putting pen to paper – everybody can have fun with literature and creative writing.

Get inspired at The Red House on the 15th June, at 5.30 p.m. (Pesha Nikolova Hall) with the first of a series of innovative creative writi...ng workshops, designed to free up inhibitions and provide sparks of inspiration for new work or work in process. Share your writing and get feedback from a community of Sofia residents and visitors. Any genre welcome!

The series will end in a performance of writing inspired by or developed in the workshops. Sign up by sending an email to Protected content , or turn up on the day. If you like, bring work in progress (no more than a page) to share with other writers at the session (though this isn't obligatory). Future sessions will be held on the 22nd and 29th June, and 6th July, and will include an open mic night.

The theme will be “breaking language barriers,’ and the workshops will explore the function of language in literature. Workshops will be held in Bulgarian and English, with one Bulgarian and one English facilitator.
