Family visiting (Sofia)

My family are coming here for the annual 3 week holiday, last year there first visit we went to the Rila Monestry but thoughtb it was boring, an old peoples place to visit, we could not find places in sofia to amuse older teenagers, we wanted to see a football game but could not find any information or an ice hockey game, there are no tourist offices in sofia with information, is there any thing worth doing in sofia for my 18 and 19 year old boys ? Why are there no tourist offices ?
