I'm looking for Style Editing Specialist for one of my clients - weekly political newspaper. Successful applicant is native English/American with a degree in Journalism/Literature or Business related major. Job description:
The style editing job consists of editing about 65 articles a week for a weekly political newspaper. The editing is mainly grammar, capitalisation and punctuation corrections. This also includes adding a native/natural way of speaking in English to articles.
The hours are usually Protected content on a Monday morning and sometimes Protected content in the afternoon. Tuesday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm you should be available to edit articles that come in and be able to send them back right away (although generally articles start coming in from 2-6pm). Friday must be spent at the office for a final look though the newspaper from 2-4:30pm. Tuesday through Thursday articles do come in after 6pm and the next morning as well and these need to be sent to the office before 12pm or 1pm. These articles that come in after hours take up another Protected content a day.
