Doctors and Dentists (Stockholm)

I've been living over in Stockholm a month or so now and wanted to get a doctor and also a dentist sorted but have no clue about how to go and do this. Is it just like in the UK where you walk into the local doc and register? I have been using a scheme in the UK also to pay £11 a month as a kind of insurance dentistry. This entitles the payee to free biannual checks, reduced queues and also a reduced rate should any work need to be done. It generally pays for itself. Is there any such programme here or is it the norm to just pay as you go along. Speaking of which, and I know it's a bit subjective but how much do doctors and dentists consultations usually cost?
