How do you get used to the longer winter nights? (Stockholm)

Hi there,
Just curious how Stockholm's longer winter nights has affected you, and what you may have done to minimize that.
I know the good side (perhaps bad) is the longer days in the summer, but it's the long nights I would like to hear your experiences.
