Indians in Sweden: Please advice? (Stockholm)

Hello!
If there are any Indians who are in Sweden on a long term student visa, could you advice me? I have an offer of admission to a PhD program in the Stockholm School of Economics. The program entitles me to monthly stipend for the entire program of 4 years and is scheduled to start in August Protected content . I had a few questions around the residence permit needed:

- Do I need to show health insurance and proof of accommodation for the ENTIRE period of 4 years??
- Will the stipend offer be sufficient as proof of funds or do I need a bank statement as well?
- Do I need an airticket before applying for the visa?

I am from New Delhi and will be applying soon to the Embassy of Sweden here.
