Transfer funds between Canadian bank and Swedish (Stockholm)

Hey folks,
Spent my first week here about 2 weeks ago, and will be back Nov 8th. One challenge I ran into, and hopefully someone would have a good solution, was the difficulty to withdraw funds from my Canadian bank account using a Swedish ATM.
I did find an SEB ATM machine which worked, but I was hoping I could simply transfer money back and forth (online perhaps) from my Canadian account to my Swedish account (when I get it). After speaking to some Canadian banks there doesn't seem to be an easy solution.
Perhaps if any Canadians or US folks have done this easily, or do this easily, you can provide your feedback. It would be very helpful.
