In Protected content , the ESC organised a spectacular May Ball in the tradition of the Cambridge University Colleges.
The post-event reaction from those attending was “Do it again!” We resisted the temptation in Protected content too much of a good thing!) but here it is again.
May Balls were a way for the students at Cambridge to let their hair down to celebrate the end of the academic year. That was when the year ended in May. They are still held to this day but, usually, in June. But it’s still called a May Ball!
The ESC May Ball will take place at the Château de l’Ile, in Ostwald on 17th May Protected content .
This will be a glittering Black Tie/Evening Dress dinner with dancing to Isonga, a local band also featuring with the Bischeim Big Band.
The evening will commence with aperitifs served on the terrace, a three course dinner with wine and dancing until 2am. Tickets are on sale now at the reduced price of 65€ for ESC members and for early birds until the 5th April. After that date, tickets will be 75€.
Numbers will be limited to Protected content (over 16 years of age) and the event will be open to the general public.
So check out your DJ’s and posh frocks and send in the registration form at the back of this newsletter to reserve your place. We’re expecting this to be another ESC sell out so don’t delay.
