New to Colmar, France (Strasbourg)

Hi everyone,
I've just arrived to officially live in France and am looking to meet some new friends and hopefully just get to know the region and cities. I've moved here with my boyfriend who is originally from Alsace to be with his family. We lived in the U.S. previously (where I'm from) and decided to enjoy these next few years in France.
I do also have a small dog who I'd love to walk with others who have dogs too, or hike/ walk with friends or grab coffee (sans dog).
The most important thing for me now is to learn better French and improve my speaking and understanding.
I'm currently not employed in France and have some free time to learn and explore!
