Sleeping and having fun in Strasbourg

Hi people! I'm Italian and I'll be attending a stage by the Council of Europe.
I'd like to know lots of things, but first I need to find a place (possibly not expensive) to sleep there for 3 months...any tips?? someone to contact for a room?

Second, I do wanna have fun and enjoy the city! So, could you suggest me what to do and where to go? pub and club? any local place, not really touristic will be very appreciated!
