Can I attend an InterNations Official Event?
Both Basic and Albatross Members can attend official events — your international friends who haven’t yet joined InterNations are also welcome to come along. You’ll find details and prices on the event page — Albatross Members will enjoy free or reduced admission.
How can I find events happening in my community?
To see all upcoming events, click Events in the navigation bar at the top of any InterNations page.
To find upcoming events in your city, tap “more” (the three little dashes in the top left corner) and select Events in the dropdown menu.

How do I attend / pay for an event?
Find the event you want to attend in the Events section, then select “Attend” on the event page. Payment is by cash at the venue. To make it easier for our volunteers, we suggest bringing the correct amount or avoiding large banknotes.
How do I invite a friend?
Go to the event page and click “Attend”. Once you have confirmed your attendance, the “Invite friends” button will appear; enter your friends’ email addresses to invite them.
How do I cancel my attendance?
Visit the event page and click the “Cancel attendance” button on the left above the event photo. Once the event registration has been closed, this option will no longer be available — please send the event organizer a message to let them know you can’t make it. You’ll find their details on the event page.
How do I attend an activity / who can attend activities?
Activities are a premium feature and are only available to Albatross Members. The only exception is Changemakers Activities, which all members can attend. Click here to find out more about upgrading to Albatross.
To see all upcoming activities, visit the Events section — activities are marked with a blue label. Select the activity you’re interested in, then press the “Attend” button.
How do I create an activity?
As an Albatross Member, you can post an activity in any group you are a member of. Before posting, please make sure your activity follows our Activity Guidelines and ensure there is no other activity in the group for the same date.
To get started, log into InterNations and click “Groups” at the top of the page. Select the group you would like to create an activity for, and then press “Create activity”. Fill in all the relevant information, and press “Create activity” to submit the form.
After submitting your activity, you will be able to see it under the Activities tab as well as on the group wall. Once it has been posted, you can still update the activity details if necessary.
How do I cancel my attendance?
Navigate to the activity page and click the “Cancel attendance” button on the left above the activity photo. Once the activity registration has been closed, this option will no longer be available — please send the event organizer a message to let them know you can’t make it. You’ll find their details on the activity page. This really helps our Consuls plan for the right number of people and gives others a chance to attend.

Why can other members create activities in my group?
Being able to post activities is one of the benefits of Albatross Membership. Posting also keeps members engaged, which draws attention to our groups, helping them to grow. Albatross Members who can’t make a monthly commitment as a Consul are welcome to post when they have time and an activity they’d like to share with fellow group members.
They are asked to make sure there is no other activity in the group on the same date.
