Work for expats in Surabaya
Hi Surabaya Expat Community! My fiancé recently got a job in Surabaya and I was hoping to move there with him. I was originally going to teach English (I had been hoping to do so anyway), and I have a MA and a TESL certificate, but I did not major in English or TESOL. In addition, although I have years of professional work experience, I only graduated from undergrad in Protected content took some years off before finishing). I have heard that this disqualifies me from teaching English in Indonesia. Do any of you know alternate ways of teaching (i.e. another subject, I have a background in Geography, International Studies and politics), or other ways for foreigners to get work in Indonesia? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
