Anyone working and traveling at the same time? (Sydney)

Hello everyone. I'm looking into opportunities to take my job on the road and become a working nomad, sort to speak.
I'm currently working in the Sydney home cleaning industry as an adviser on marketing & charity campaigns and am doing part-time freelance projects for other companies in the branch.

Can anyone advise me on what's the reality behind the nomadic lifestyle? Does it work? Is it hard being financially independent while on the road? Does anyone have personal experience in this manner?

I'd very much like to continue working in the domestic cleaning sector and have already planned the required changes with my current employers but I'm also looking at green living organisations, nature conservation and everything in-between.

Looking forward to meeting others who've taken the challenge of being digital nomads.
