Considering a job offer in Sydney

Greetings !

I am considering moving to Sydney, Australia from Grenoble, France where I have been working for the past 4 years. The position I have been offered is in the domain of AI and quite promising. I am a bit apprehensive about moving out to Australia after reading mixed reviews about sydney on blogs and networking sites.

I am writing here to hear first hand from members who, like me, moved from Europe/US to down under. It is a big change in terms of geography and mutli-lingual Europe for me, so I would like to be sure and convince myself that its the best place to be.
