NAIDOC Week 2009 (Sydney)

City of Sydney is celebrating Indigenous culture this NAIDOC Week with a program of free events that everyone is invited to join, including 3 on 3 basketball, film nights, library events, family tree workshops and children's story times.
NAIDOC Week is an annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and an opportunity to recognise the contributions of Indigenous Australians in various fields.
“Honouring our Elders, Nurturing our Youth" is the theme for National NAIDOC Week, encouraging communities to acknowledge the status of Indigenous Elders as leaders and role models for youth.
