NYE - opera bar or goat island? (Sydney)

Hey, There are so many options for nye that it's really hard to make a choice - and because I'm here for a 2 years contract only I would like to choose wisely and make sure I see the world famous beautiful fireworks in the sydney harbour! My friends are coming from Europe, so we will be a group of Protected content . Tickets for the opera bar are on sale now for Protected content and i was wondering if anybody here can tell me if its worth to go? ( and worth the Protected content another idea was to do goat or shark island - any experience with this? Goat island costs now Protected content per person and you can bring your own food and alcohol. I'm imagining a nice picnic on the grass with a beautiful view of the fireworks... Do you think this is realistic? :) Any experience with these islands? What are your plans for NYE?
