Should I take up the Sydney job offer?

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, just happily lurking around for insider information about expat living in Sydney. I haven't quite decided yet, though I regret not accepting the job earlier on.

I have moved countries before, but unlike Syndey, I had friends and families waiting on the other side. I know, I know... Sydney is a wonderful city but I'm feeiling halfhearted about the whole thing as I'll be by myself there. At this point in life, having family and friends matter a bit. Especially for a grouch like me ;p

has anyone moved to Sydney, solo, before?
