Visiting Uzbekistan (Tashkent)

Hi Everybody
I am an Iranian living in the United Kingdom and I am planning to visit Uzbekistan in end of Sept beg of Nov for two weeks to travel to Tashkent, Khiva,Bukhara and Samarkand. I have travelled quite a bit on my own but have read that caution is required in Uzbekistan for lone female travellers. I really don't want to take organised tours and have read there are really good rail links between the cities. Furthermore, I am well tuned with the culture of the region and so will be travelling sensibly.

Any advice tips on the feasibility of travelling alone would be much appreciated. Many thanks
