recommandation for staying in Tbilisi

Hello all,

I will be visiting Tbilisi during Apr. Protected content I am looking to either stay in a hotel or rent an apartment.

Can anybody recommend an area where I should be staying? And which hotel? Is it easy to rent an apartment for a Protected content stay? Not looking for anything fancy but comfortable and safe so that I can enjoy my stay would be great!

Any information would be very much useful.
