Urgent: Rabies shots? (Tbilisi)

Hi all

I understand it is important to get vaccinated for rabies if travelling to the countryside. Has anyone had this done in Tbilisi and/or where can I have this done and/or what are the costs involved? My neighbour mentioned to me that they couldn't find treatment for rabies here after her daughter was bitten. Could this still be the case? From what I understand after reading the literature you can still get vaccinated after being bitten as long as you do it quickly, so if they have the vaccination that must also be the treatment, yes?

A friend from Europe wants to come and visit me here and is worried about the availability of rabies treatment here after I told him what my neighbour said. Your quick response would be much appreciated, as it will determine for when he can book his flight.
