The festival will be held on June 9 on the district of the rehabilitated Gori Castle. The event is aimed at popularizing the Kartli wine of special characteristics, saving and diversifying local vine breeds, introducing and popularizing wine pressed out of remnant vine breeds in the region, creating a catalogue of producers of the Kartli wine for future consultations and services, and attracting new producers as well as attention of local and foreign markets.
Shida Kartli Governor’s Administration is hosting the Festival. The event will be organized by the Kartli Traditional Wine-Making Association and Agency of Regional Development.
