A few questions for a first time visiter (Tehran)

Hello everyone

Me and my friend plan on visiting Iran in a few months, sometime after the new year perhaps. While I know the general information about the country, I'd still like to ask a few questions

First of all, our destination is Isfahan city and the region itself. As the city is the center of the region, we think of staying there and from there exploring our targets - which are small city Fereydunshahr and small villages around it. So, because of this I'd like to know how safe Fereydunshahr and the Isfahan province itself is, if possible.
Other than Georgian both of us know English/Russian as well

The second question would be about transport. I'm thinking of traveling to Isfahan from here by bus, but have no idea which kind of transport to use when we arrive there. Would it be better to use buses there as well? We are not tight with the finances, but as we still have to exchange our currency to dollar and then exchange it back in rila it will already be a substantial loss
