Garage Sales and Thrift Shops? (Tehran)

I was wondering if there is such a thing as garage sales or thrift shops in Iran, more particularly in Mashhad. I used to love to look for vintage linens, sewing supplies, books, costume jewelry, and toys in those places in the U.S. Is there a custom such as that here, or does it not pertain to the culture?
