Places for taking photographs (Tehran)

Hi Everyone,
I have 2 Professional photographer friends just arrive in Iran. They would like to take some photos of Iranian lives.
Is there any “ villages” in or near Tehran ? Can you recommend any interesting placing ( not the standard touristy places) they mainly want to take photograph of people ( especially wearing the traditional clothing) photographing their daily lives, I have already took them to Tehran Bazaar (which was great, best place for people watching in my opinion) , then I took them to Bus Terminal in Azadi ( were kicked out by security guards as soon as they spotted our cameras)now I can not think of anywhere else…
I wanted to take them to visit Friday Prayer in Tehran but was told it is not a good idea being foreigner and Non-Muslim, can you suggest any alternative?
