Looking for experience based advice (Tel Aviv)

Hi all - i am moving to Tel Aviv with my family in April. Most issues have been cleared by my company but i have two remaining:

I must pay into a pension scheme and have been told that 100% of all contributions can be retrieved at the end of the contract. I cannot find this documented anyplace and need to know as it has a significant impact on my disposable income.

The company has applied for the work-permit which takes Protected content apparently. I want to ship my personal effects but cannot confirm if i can import these without a work-permit actually issued as opposed to being in process. Related question are there any restrictions on what can be shipped in under personal effects.
