Working visa or work first? (Tel Aviv)

Hello everybody,

I am new here, so excuse me if this question has been asked before (I could not find it).

I am moving to Tel Aviv mid october (for love) and I'm looking for a job there. So far I only have a visitor's visa; I can stay in Israel for 3 months and then I have to leave my boyfriend again and go back home. We want to settle down and start a life together, but by the looks of it, that is going to be really hard :(

I have contacted many institutions and embassies and I still don't know how we can make it work: what do you recommend? How can I get a working visa? Do I look for a job first or do I wait months for the visa to be arranged and address my savings?

My current situation: I am proactively looking for a job from abroad to be able to step to Internal Affairs with contract to apply for a working visa.
