Teaching in Lanzarote (Tenerife)

Hi,

I'm very close to making a decision to move from the UK to Lanzarote with my wife to take up a teaching post at a Private school on the Island.

If you have experience of living/working in Lanzarote (ideally as a teacher, but also in other areas of work) and can offer any advice (pros/cons) then I would love to hear from you. We know the Island well having visited there regularly over many years.

The drop in pay from what I am currently earning would be considerable, also job security is a major concern as the contract appears to be renewed annually.
