Kind request to assist us in carrying out research (Tirana)

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are addressing you with a kind request to assist us in carrying out the research “Transnational Networks, Transnational Entrepreneurship and the Role of State”, conducted by the Institute for Change and Leadership in Albania ( ICLA) . The research is carried out within the Regional Research Promotion Programme in the Western Balkans (RRPP), led by the University of Fribourg, with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The main aim of this research is to focus attention and raise awareness on the increasingly prevalent form of entrepreneurship – established by migrants/returnees with a desire to transfer their knowledge and experience gained while living and working abroad into economic activities, which can improve the economic development of local communities and the entire country.

Our wish is to learn about the reasons for the establishment of business activities in Albania, identify the main problems faced by migrants-entrepreneurs in their business operations, better understand the way business is carried out between the country of origin and the receiving country. Your experience would be essential to the formulation of recommendations to decision makers in order to create a more favourable climate and encourage entrepreneurship among migrants/returnees in Albania.

Please fill out this questionnaire if you meet one of the following conditions:

- If you stayed abroad for more than a year (worked or studied), and are now involved in entrepreneurship (or work in a company), whose activities include cooperation with foreign companies.

- If you are currently abroad for more than a year and are engaged in entrepreneurship (or work in a company), whose activities include cooperation with Albania.
It takes about Protected content to fill out the questionnaire. It is anonymous and the information will be used solely for the purpose of the scientific research.
