tokyo for 3 nights only! (Tokyo)

hey guys;

i'm doing abit of a whirlwind trip to korea and tokyo this november and will be in tokyo from november 14 to 17; will be backpacking alone though i may have a dinner engagement or two with work associates. still this is my first trip back to japan since 5 years old - perhaps some bits of cultural exchange over some beer/shochu/sake?

also, i am looking to stay in taito (eyeballing heritage toco hostel) since i've heard it's popular with the backpackers and in old tokyo which is steeped in culture. however, i've heard it is "not good for the business image" (since i am meeting some work associates). where would be an alternative location? i've looked at roppongi but even with corporate prices, the prices at the ritz scared the beegeezus outta my eyeballs. further, i'm looking for something more traditional with a soul.
