gathering information and volunteering in Toronto

hi everyone,
am currently visiting Toronto for 7 weeks, am trying to gather some information about the city with respect to life style , job market, certification of qualifications, real estate and other thing in order to help me settel easily when my PRV get approved and during that time also i would like to meet new ppl living here in the city to help me with that and to build my network in the city.

furthermore, i would like to volunteer in any charity work and offer a hand to draw a smile on the face of the unfortunate.
