Work visa for Canada- procedure? (Toronto)

Dear all,

I am Israeli and trying to apply for a job in Sales & Marketing in a Canadian company specializing in promoting tours going to Israel.
The employers of the company have never hired anyone from abroad
and as much as think I am very suitable for this because of my previous work experience and language skills, they are hesitating because of the visa procedure,

I am wondering if anyone knows how difficult would it be to apply for a work visa from outside of Canada?

How long do these applications usually take?

Any other tips/recommendation would be greatly appreciated.
