South Africans moving to France (Toulouse)

My husband (EU citizen) and I are planning to move to the Midi-Pyrénéés area within the next 18 months. Anyone that has moved from South Africa to France that have advice on whom to use for shipping out household contents as well as pets? I've tried to contact a few to get an inidication of cost but the service has been appaling. Would also like to connect with any SA expats who lives currently in the Midi-Pyrénéés to get a feeling for what live is like for you there.
