Cars (Tunis)

Hi you all,

I am going to move to Tunis, as it looks, in about 7 months time for work, and I am very much looking forward to it. I am also looking forward getting to know you all, in person and on the forum.

Anyway, i am in Tunis for 3 days right now, and looking at where I'd like to live (Sidi Bou Said or similar) and where I am going to be working (close to the airport) it is clear that I will need a car.

I won't get any diplomatic status, but I guess that I'll get some sort of residence or another, especially, as I am going to pay taxes over there.

So my question is: what is better? buying a car in Austria and bringing it with me? Or is it possible to buy a (used) car, with a budget of approximately 4.000€, that I can sell again before I leave? What kind of quality is that? Or would it be possible to lease a car in Tunis? What are the costs for that (approximately?)?

It does not need to be a great car, I was thinking about a Peugeot or Renault or VW, 3 doors and that's about it.
