Moving to Tunis

Hi everyone, I have been offered a job at an International School in Tunis and I am little nervous about accepting it. The job itself sounds great but other than this site I have been unable to find much information about the area. Are there many expats there? I am afraid of being confined to my house all of the time and being lonely. Is the area safe? I know these sound like silly little questions but I'm having a hard time deciding.
