Things to bring - esp shoes? (Ulaanbaatar)

Hi,
I'm planning to move to Ulan Bator in a few months for a year. Can anyone provide advice on what sort of clothes etc I should bring with me and what I can buy there? In particular I'm concerned about being able to buy good quality, warm, waterproof boots. Are larger sizes available (womens size 39)? And how do prices compare with Aus/US?
