Where do I go? (Uppsala)

Hi everybody,

We are Looking to move to a either a small village or a quiet spot North of Sweden, we visited Ramsjo to view a house earlier this year but were unsure of the area and whether or not we would be able to find work.

I'm looking to buy a house for cash as we have sold up in the UK and are now renting a house here until we find something in Sweden we like. To be honest I'm kind of in the dark when it comes to the different areas but I'm not particuarly career minded anymore and just want to earn a simple living and hopefully with no mortgage or big bills just concentrate on a good quality of life.

I have 2 children of 8 & 9 and would like them to fairly near to schools and not to far from activities for them.

I'm a very practical person and have electrical, plumbing and gas qualifications, I'm computer literate and a good communicator although my Swedish sucks at the moment.

So with all this in mind, where would you suggest? North , South, near a city or town?
