Moving to Valencia - q's on suburbs to live in.

I'm currently living in Madrid but it's too big and crowded for me! So I am seriously considering Valencia.
I've done a bit of research online but if you have any recommendations on areas to live that would be really helpful. I'll come and check them out this weekend.
I'd love to live near the beach if I can, being a kiwi !! And not right in the middle of the city as I like a bit of space - and greenery if possible though might be a long shot.
I heard there's a few beach areas and villages outside of downtown that are still well connected with public transport. Ideally about 20 mins away from downtown as I won't have a car.
I'm in my 30's, I don't need to be near all the clubs, but also don't want to feel too isolated!
