Squatting In Valencia

As i go to view apartments in Valencia I am told it is not possible and i can buy and not view.

With further research about squatters in Valencia i see it is a big problem and they are well protected that even cutting off electric and water can get you arrested and you are the owner.....

Which areas are best to buy and how do you stop squatters especially if you will be going to and from spain frequently

Would it be safer spending more money on a small detached property outside the Valencia zone ? I like the city as i have 2 small children and all amenities are there

any help would be appreciated
