Moving to Venice or Padova

Hi, I am considering moving to Venice or Padova in the next few months for work. I am trying to find out if there are many expats living in either place (I'm assuming Venice has more). I have a wife and 2 young kids so it is important that they have a network that have been through the same move.

If anyone has information or recommendations I would be very greatful if you took the time to let me know.
