Confused regarding Resident permit!! (Vienna)

Dear all,

I am student from South India, who has been selected by a reputed professor to pursue my PhD in Wien. I have planned to register at Medical University, Wien.. However I applied for my rp in india by jan 6th Protected content says they wud provide my RP within Protected content . However i didnt receive my RP yet.. When i contacted MA35 office, they told its under process.. Its getting delayed and am worried.. Do any of u have any idea what might actually causing this delay?? actually no one from south india has received their RP yet!!
