Document for Residence permits (Vienna)

Hello Folks,

In need of some urgent / critical guidance here.

I am in the process of working our residence permits for Austria. We pretty much have all our documents in place, but for the Birth certificate. Birth Certificates, were rarely issued in India 34 years back and i am now trying to get one for myself and spouse - however thanks to this being a government processes and having to coordinate it out of Greece (where we now live), this is taking longer than expected and running into the usual challenges.

Given this wanted any guidance on the other options i may have -
- Tried the Indian Embassy here - they can issue us a birth certificate, but this document will not be apostiled or notarised as needed by Austrian Law..
- Unfortunately the passport's are not accepted / nor are the school leaving certificates...

Any suggestions on stop gap options, while i get the Originals, will be greatly appreciated.
